Energy powerhouse Statkraft has appointed long-serving employee Charlotte Healey into a newly-created role as Head of Solar in the UK.
Charlotte joined the business in 2018 following it's acquisition of Element Power, where she worked as a project director. In recent years Charlotte and team have developed utility scale projects.

The well-known retail brand has announced a partnership with installer Egg to enable homeowners to buy systems for their rooftops. It is believed that B&Q will market the service to it's retail following, with the Leeds-based installer Egg providing fulfilment and installation of solar and storage.
We have not yet been provided with how the retailer will market the service - presumably online - but we understand they are keen to deliver through an Energy Efficiency Service to homeowners with solar being one part of the possible solution.
Egg was launched by Liberty Global plc in 2020, following the acquisition of installer The Phoenix Works. It's been a while since a major retailer has shown interest to the solar market in the UK - but we hope it will be the first of many, enabling the wider public to benefit from a partnership aimed at creating trust.
