The supermarket giant has selected Atrato Onsite Energy plc to install commercial PV systems to 20 of it's UK sites under a framework agreement, with the first installation being carried out in Thetford (370kw) in the coming weeks. The two have agreed a 20-year PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) for upto 20 sites in the first step of the agreement. Atrato also adds that the total pipeline of 69 Tesco solar development projects.
Gurpreet Gujral, Managing Director of Atrato Partners said: "This framework agreement unlocks the development of new solar power at one of Britain's biggest consumer businesses, supplying it with low cost, traceable clean energy. We are delighted to be partnering with Tesco to deliver the next phase of its solar ambitions."
In a move aiming to deepen the UK-based manufacturers presence in Europe, GivEnergy has formed a new partnership with wholesale electrical distributor Rexel. The company will supply Rexel with GivEnergy products including AC-coupled inverters, hybrid inverters, EV chargers and more for Rexel's European operations.
Rexel is a large electrical distributor which is a familiar name to electricians and trades in the UK with around 200 branches under various brands. The two companies will also take aim at Global markets in the future.
The new-build specialist which struck a deal with E.ON to acquire a 49% stake in the installer a couple of years ago, has announced that Ryan Mee has been promoted to new role of Chief Commercial Officer.
Ryan has been with the installer business since 2009 as Group Commercial Director. Eco2Solar holds group trading agreements with housing developers to install systems across the UK, citing some 400 developments to date.
The inverter manufacturer is running a 2-hour online training session this week for the UK addressing the basics in selling and installing Solis products. The training is run by Marina Shi, Country Manger and Carmen Dumitrescu, Product Solution Manager at Solis Europe.
