Viridian Solar announces it has signed a group deal with Legal & General Modular Homes, which becomes the first modular homes developer to agree a supply agreement with the solar specialist. The deal will see Legal & General Modular Homes exclusively using Clearline fusion roof integrated solar on its homes until 2025.
Part of Legal & General Financial Services, Legal & General Modular Homes was established to help tackle the UK's housing crisis. Using precision engineering techniques inspired by industries like automotive and construction, it manufactures individual modules in its factory near Leeds. The modules are transported to the development for assembly into finished houses.
The benefits of this approach includes lower costs due to factory-built standards, rapid construction, high quality, and environmental credentials. All its homes have an energy efficiency rating of A and exceed the national space standards. Legal & General is committed to ensuring all its homes are net zero from 2030.
Jamie Berryman, Chief Sales Officer at Viridian Solar said:
"Since we launched Clearline Fusion in 2015 we have signed supply agreements with many well-known house builders. To announce L&G Modular Homes as the first modular home builder to join the "Fusion Family" is something special. Having spent time in the factory and seen how these homes are built and the quality of workmanship, I was very impressed and am excited to see Clearline Fusion being exclusively installed by L&G going forward. We thank L&G Modular for placing its trust in us and we look forward to working together for many years to come."
Victoria Ongley-Knight, Business Development Manager at L&G Modular Homes said:
"We have been installing Clearline Fusion on our homes for a number of years and it is of the highest quality and aesthetics, and the ease of use means it is the perfect roof integrated solar PV solution for us. With our commitment to NetZero homes by 2030 we are pleased to be working with Viridian Solar to sustain our commitment to renewable energy supply."
